about the event
The Banana Bash Wiffleball Tournament is a one-day event for boys ages 10–13 who love baseball and good old-fashioned backyard competition. Hosted right here in Bananaville, teams of 4-5 players will battle it out in fast-paced, 4 inning games packed with music, energy, laughter, and pure joy.
This tournament is all about bringing play back to baseball — creating an environment where kids can compete, have fun, and fall even more in love with the game.
tournament Format
pool play
Each team will play 2 pool play games, with matchups randomly drawn before the tournament begins. These games help determine seeding for the single elimination bracket and give every team a fun, competitive warm-up to kick off the day.
single elimination
After pool play, teams will be seeded based on their results and enter a single elimination bracket. Once the tournament begins — win and advance or go home! It’s high-energy, high-stakes wiffleball to crown the Banana Bash Champion.
4-game GUARANTEE
Every team is guaranteed at least 4 games — 2 in pool play and 2 more in the tournament bracket. Whether your squad makes a deep run or falls early, you’ll get plenty of chances to compete and enjoy the full Banana Bash experience.
“wait! I have some questions about the rules.”
is there pegging?
You may want to throw it at your friend, but nope — tagging only by rule.
are there any Banana ball rules?
Of course! We play with flair and fundamentals in Bananaville. Just like in Banana Ball — if a foul ball is caught in the air by ANYONE (player, coach, even a lucky fan), the batter’s out. Keep your head on a swivel!
How fast can the pitcher throw?
No Cheese (No pitches over 50 MPH). Radar will be hot. If a pitch is over 50 mph = cheese. Next pitch is a LOB pitch (soft toss) in the strike zone.
are there run rules?
5-Run Limit Per Inning (Except the Last!)
No early blowouts here — teams can only score up to 5 runs per inning to keep things tight and competitive. But once that final inning hits… it’s go time. No run limit. Rally hats on. Score 'til you drop.
How long are the games?
4-Inning Games or 40 Minutes. Whichever comes first — because in Bananaville, we keep things movin'! Games are quick, intense, and full of action, so stay locked in from pitch one. No time for naps! Yes, we will finish the inning.
what happens if you get walked or hit by pitch while at bat?
If a batter gets hit or walked, the next pitch must be a LOB pitch (easy toss) that counts as a strike. It keeps the game moving and the competition fair. No freebies — just swing and let it rip!
